Telegram Channel Integration
Overview
The Telegram Integration feature allows you to connect your Pixel-AI chatbot directly to Telegram. Once connected, users can interact with your AI assistant inside the Telegram app just like a normal chat.
This integration also works with the Human Support module, enabling smooth escalation from AI to a Human agent when needed.
What This Integration Enables
- Users can message your AI bot through Telegram.
- Conversations are processed through Pixel-AI.
- Optional human takeover for live support.
- Centralized conversation management inside your Human Agent dashboard.
Setup Instructions
Step 1: Generate a Telegram Bot Token
To begin, you’ll need to create a Telegram bot and obtain its API token.
- Open Telegram (mobile or desktop).
- Search for BotFather (Telegram’s official bot creation service).
- Start a conversation with BotFather.
- Send the command:
/newbot - Provide:
- A display name for your bot
- A unique username (must end in "bot")
After completion, Telegram will provide you with a Bot Token.
Step 2: Connect Telegram to Pixel-AI
Once you have your token:
- Log in to your Pixel-AI Admin Panel.
- Open the Chatbots section.
- Select an existing bot or create a new one.
- Go to the Channels configuration step.
- Choose Telegram.
- Enter:
- Your Bot Username
- The Bot Token provided by BotFather
- Click Save Changes.
Your Telegram bot is now connected to Pixel-AI.
Step 3: Test the Connection
- Open Telegram.
- Search for your newly created bot.
- Start a conversation.
- Send a message.
If configured correctly, your AI assistant will respond instantly.
If the Human Support feature is activated in Pixel-AI:
- Telegram users can request live assistance.
- The conversation is routed to your Human Support dashboard.
- A team member can join and reply in real time.
